Important EU-project for Moldova
The "SciNetNatHaz" project funded by Black Sea Joint Operational Programme of the EU, gathers more than 90 scientists from universities, academies of science and research institutions from 6 countries (Greece, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Turkey) involved in the hazard assessment related to earthquakes, landslides and floods (ELF).
Thoughout the project implementation, the study on the hazards of ELF in the Black Sea area was accomplished.
ELF Assessment implementations are already available in selected areas on the website of the project: www.scinetnathaz.net
For a better coordination of the project activities, a new form of collective scientific work organization was applied.
Thus, a modern interactive system "Polyvision ENO Interactive Whiteboard" was installed at the Institute of Electronic Engineering and Nanotechnologies „D.Ghiţu” of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, with the financial support of the above-mentioned project, which allows the unfolding of the interactive workshops for a rapid information exchange between the project participants and operational management by project coordinator.
The nearest interactive event, the internet-seminar or "webinar" with the participation of the project coordinator prof. Konstantinos Papateodorou and the team leader of the Republic of Moldova prof. Anatolie Sidorenko, will be held on Tuesday, 08.25.2015 at 15:00 hours, as well a workshop with the participation of all project partners and the coordinator, will take place on 25.09.2015, at 16:00 hours, where will be discussed the project's achieved results and resolved problems.
The European Union within Black Sea Joint Operational Programme offered not only financial support, but also consultations in the work organization and preparation of the reports according to EU standards.
The activity in the above-mentioned project has a significant contribution to the real integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Research Area.
